Ben Jackson recently presented his research work with TiDA at the 4th International Conference on Titanium Powder Metallurgy & Additive Manufacturing (PMTi) conference in Xian, central China.
Ben’s paper was titled “Additive Manufacturing of TiB reinforced Ti-6Al-4V: Microstructure and Hardness Modification”
This international conference was well supported from NZ with speakers from TiDA, University of Waikato, Wintec and the University of Auckland. PMTi was a great opportunity to showcase New Zealand’s capability in powder metallurgy and additive manufacturing. It was also a great experience to meet with international researchers in the field and build links into a massive global capability in international research companies and research groups.
Contact TiDA for further information regarding Ben’s work on the reinforcement of titanium alloy with titanium boride.
